Children’s Day Visit: RCM Special School, Gboko, Benue State.

On May 29, 2025, Theresa’s Lighthouse (TLH), in collaboration with the GTG Foundation (GTGF), embarked on a deeply moving outreach to RCM Special School Bua Ameladu in Gboko.

RCM Special School provides education and care for children who are deaf and hard of hearing or speech-impaired. While these vibrant young learners navigate a world filled with unique challenges, their warmth, resilience, and eager smiles reminded us of the universal language of love and empathy.

What We Accomplished Together

Thanks to the combined resources of our organizations and the continuous generosity of our donor community, we were able to deliver practical support designed to improve both the daily comfort and educational growth of the students:

Highlights from the Day

The atmosphere during the visit was filled with energy and emotion. From engaging with the students through visual activities to sharing meals and administrative conversations with the school leadership, every moment reinforced why this work matters.

“The heartfelt gratitude expressed by the headmistress and staff reaffirmed that simple acts of care create ripple effects of hope in these children’s lives.”

Moving Forward

This outreach was more than a delivery of supplies — it was a affirmation to the students at RCM Special School that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Partnerships like the one between TLH and GTGF demonstrate what is possible when like-minded organizations join forces. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated, volunteered, or shared our vision.
